You can use some Toronto hotel pools without booking a room. Start with Sheraton Centre's $75 pool and fitness day pass. It has a heated indoor-outdoor pool and a direct booking page that clearly welcomes locals.
Hilton Toronto is the best nearby alternative, with a pool-and-sauna pass listed from $97 in Canadian dollars. For control over who shares the water, book a private pool with friends.
The catch is the atmosphere. A hotel pass doesn't promise a quiet, adults-only pool. It also doesn't always include a reserved lounger, a drink or an outdoor swim in September.
Prices and availability checked September 15, 2026. Dollar amounts below are Canadian unless stated otherwise. Starting prices aren't quotes for every date.

The useful choices at a glance

| Option | Price found | What makes it useful | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sheraton Centre | $75 per person on its direct site | Clear non-guest access; indoor-outdoor pool | Basic pass doesn't list a reserved lounger |
| Hilton Toronto | From $97 on ResortPass's Canadian display | Pool, sauna and gym | Date-specific rate; no adults-only promise |
| Hotel X Guerlain daycation | From $294 for one | Treatment, tea and a short rooftop swim | Up to two hours of pool access; weekday spa package |
| Radisson Blu Lakeview | Current admission price unconfirmed | Lake views and a poolside lounge | Booking page showed seasonal closure |
| Rebecca's Tropical Oasis on Swimply | From $65 an hour; 1.5-hour minimum | Private group booking | Host on site; camera disclosed; fees need checking |
| Sunnyside Gus Ryder Pool | Free leisure swim during its outdoor season | A summer budget alternative | The published 2026 season ended September 20. Use an indoor City pool in autumn. |
These aren't interchangeable purchases. A reserved pool chair is useful if you want to read for hours. A day room is useful if you need a bed. A spa package makes sense only if you also want the treatment.
Sheraton Centre: our first place to check

123 Queen Street West, across from Nathan Phillips Square
Sheraton Centre has a heated pool with indoor and outdoor sections. Its own website promotes access for local visitors, so you don't have to guess whether a hotel-room booking is required. Sheraton Centre pool information
The direct booking page still listed a $75 Pool & Fitness Centre Day Pass on September 20, 2026. That covers one person, the pool, fitness centre, locker room and towels. An earlier September 16 booking check listed children under 12 at $50 plus tax. Confirm the child rate and your final total for the date you choose.
For two people who want seats, a separate $200 Non-Hotel Guest Pool Experience lists two loungers, an umbrella, side table, two waters and a snack pack. Extra guests cost more. That is a different product from two basic passes. Compare Sheraton's direct pool packages
Don't mistake the cheaper “Hotel Guest Pool Experience” for non-guest admission. It is an add-on for people already staying there. Also, the site's Stay & Splash room promotion had an end date of September 8. An old promotion remaining on a homepage doesn't extend its terms.
For frequent visits, the same page lists a $250 monthly membership and a $2,200 annual membership. Four $75 passes add up to $300 before extra charges. Ask about the membership’s start date, access hours and cancellation rules before choosing it.
This is a family hotel. Its booking page also advertises children's pool parties. Choose Sheraton for clear access and a pool you can use beyond summer. Skip it if a child-free setting is the main reason you're paying.
Hilton Toronto: check the simple pass before the party packages

145 Richmond Street West
Hilton's ResortPass listing offers an indoor-outdoor heated pool, sauna and fitness centre. The Canadian display showed Day Pass + Sauna from $97. Towels, showers and luggage storage appear in the property amenities. Confirm the inclusions on your selected experience. Hilton Toronto pool passes
For a calm afternoon, the basic pass is the sensible starting point. The separate Smoky Beats package includes a DJ and barbecue on selected Thursdays. A Poolside Social package adds a reserved lounger, welcome bubbles, food and a robe. Those extras change both the price and the mood.
The pool sits among tall buildings. Reports of shade from the neighbouring Shangri-La are plausible, but we haven't verified the sun on each part of the deck at different times. Ask about your preferred hours if tanning is the whole plan.
Choose Hilton if its available date and final price suit you better than Sheraton. Don't pay for a DJ package and expect library-level quiet.
Radisson Blu: keep it on your summer list

249 Queens Quay West
Lakeview Pool Lounge has the setting many people actually want: an outdoor pool above the waterfront, food, drinks and a lake view. The hotel operator directs non-guests to an OpenTable day-pass booking. Lakeview Pool Lounge information
But on September 15, 2026, that booking page said the venue was seasonal, closed and not bookable. The operator's broader promotional copy still described it as open. Treat the booking closure as the practical warning and call before making plans.
We couldn't confirm a current admission price. Older reports mention $60 or $65 passes, a $32 hospitality-industry Monday rate, weekday-only access and admission credited toward food. Those reports come from different seasons. None is a verified current offer.
The same applies to older restrictions on outside food and drink. Plan to buy refreshments there unless the venue confirms otherwise. Ask separately whether a lounger is included, whether admission buys any food credit and what happens in bad weather.
This is our waterfront option to revisit when bookings reopen. It isn't a bookable September bargain based on an old price.
Hotel X: book it for the spa treatment too

Hotel X's Guerlain Spa has a specific Monday-to-Thursday daycation that includes rooftop pool access for up to two hours. Bookings open within a two-week window.
The Spa Escape + High Tea starts at $294 for one or $588 for two. It includes a choice of 60-minute treatments, gym access, 45 minutes in the Contrast Zone, spa lounge and steam room, high tea and self-parking. High tea needs 48 hours' notice.
The $379 Wellness Access + High Tea option adds a 90-minute massage, with registered massage therapist (RMT) and non-RMT choices listed. Confirm the full price, tax, tip and treatment choice before booking.
Loungers are first come, first served. The package warns that weather can affect the outdoor pool, without compensation or rescheduling. Its cancellation deadline is 48 hours. Guerlain daycation packages and terms
The hotel FAQ otherwise describes the pool as being for registered hotel guests. The named spa package is the route to confirm. A rooftop restaurant booking doesn't grant swimming access.
Hotel X also lists adult-only pool hours from 9 to 11 p.m. Don't assume a daytime spa package includes that evening slot. Choose this for a treatment and a short swim, rather than paying almost $300 just to sit by water.
Don Valley Hotel and Hyatt Regency: pools confirmed, stand-alone passes not confirmed

Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites, 175 Wynford Drive, confirms an outdoor seasonal pool and an indoor pool. Its amenities include a patio, sauna and steam room. We couldn't confirm the old $25 pool-only admission from the public hotel pages. Don Valley outdoor pool
There is a clearer, more expensive route: Dayuse lists a Don Valley day room with pool access, from $129, with a displayed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. window. That's an advertised starting rate, not a completed date-specific quote. Verify which pool is operating and included. Toronto day rooms with pool access
An older visitor report mentioned an unpleasant smell around the steam-room washroom. That single account doesn't establish today's condition. If the steam room matters, ask whether it is currently operating before booking.
Hyatt Regency Toronto confirms a seasonal rooftop pool. Its public amenity page doesn't establish that anyone can buy a pool-only day pass. Don't confuse it with Hotel X, which is also part of Hyatt. Hyatt Regency pool information
For both hotels, get the non-guest access terms in writing before travelling. A photograph of a pool isn't a ticket to use it.
A private pool rental gives you more say over the crowd

Swimply lets hosts rent out private pools by the hour. It is the strongest alternative when your real goal is avoiding a public crowd.
One specific Toronto option, Tropical Oasis, hosted by Rebecca, showed $65 an hour with a 1.5-hour minimum. That makes the base minimum $97.50 before any fees or taxes shown at checkout. The listing allows up to 10 guests and says the host will be home. A private washroom is available inside the house. Read the rental's exact terms
It lists a heated pool, a barbecue by request, sun and shade. It also discloses a security camera in sight of the pool. That matters if privacy is part of the reason you're renting. Don't read “private pool” as “no cameras.”
The listing's drink rules prohibit glass. Confirm your group's plans with the host, including guests who aren't swimming. Never assume every rental includes a washroom, barbecue, towels, alcohol permission or exclusive use of the whole property.
The exact residential location is supplied after booking. Check the travel area and cancellation terms first. Choose a private rental when you want your own group and are comfortable with the host's setup.
Free alternatives: Sunnyside and Alexandra Park

Sunnyside Gus Ryder Outdoor Pool, 1755 Lake Shore Boulevard West, is the budget choice if you can give up hotel service. Toronto's current schedule lists it among outdoor pools open through September 20, 2026. Leisure swimming is free. September 20 is the last date in that extended schedule. After that, choose an indoor pool until a new outdoor season is announced. City swimming schedules
The deep section isn't an adults-only shortcut. Access follows the pool's swim-test rules. Children who meet those rules can use it too. Look for a labelled adult session if that's what you need.
You can make a larger outing of the waterfront and a separate meal at Sunnyside Pavilion Café. Its menus include fries, meals and drinks. Check the current café opening before building your afternoon around it. Food and drink bought at the café don't create poolside restaurant service. Sunnyside Café menus
Alexandra Park's outdoor pool is another summer lead, but it isn't on the City's September 8–20 extension list. It also serves families and camps. Don't travel there expecting a current adults-only session without checking its schedule.

The idea that a pool in a wealthy area, away from the subway, must be quiet is too shaky to plan around. Booked camps and the actual swim timetable matter more than the neighbourhood's reputation.
Oasis and Hanlan's need different expectations

Oasis Aqualounge, 231 Mutual Street, has water facilities, but it is a clothing-optional, sex-positive social club for adults 19 and older. It isn't an ordinary hotel pool or a conventional day spa.
Its current pricing lists women and trans guests at $15 Sunday to Thursday and $25 Friday and Saturday. Male/female couples are listed at $100 and $115 respectively. Solo male access depends on the day and event. Valid government photo ID is required. Oasis prices and admission rules
The old suggestion that women get in free on Wednesdays isn't the current standard rate. Check the event calendar for your date. Choose Oasis only if you want that adult social setting, not simply because its pool is cheaper.
Hanlan's Point Beach is a clothing-optional public beach with a long queer history. It isn't restricted to men, and it isn't an adults-only private venue. You can't rely on strangers to keep their phones away.
As of September 15, the City says lifeguards and beach maintenance won't return until summer 2027. Some access points also have high-water closures. Use the signed paths and stay out of the fragile dunes. Our Toronto Islands in fall guide covers ferry changes and walking plans. Beach status and Island access notices
Don't bring open alcohol based on advice to keep it discreet. Toronto's alcohol-in-parks rules don't make all beaches drinking areas. Use a licensed venue for that part of the day. City park and beach rules
For a current women-focused beach gathering, find a named organizer and date. We couldn't confirm the unnamed events in older recommendations.
Before you buy a pass
Pick the product that matches the day you want
| Product | Best for | Main weakness |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel pool day pass | A few hours of swimming and deck time in a central location | A chair, locker or quiet atmosphere may not be guaranteed. |
| Day room with pool access | Travellers who also need privacy, a shower or a place to rest | It costs more and the room hours may not match pool hours. |
| Spa treatment with pool access | Someone who already wants the treatment and facilities | Poor value if the treatment is only a way to reach the pool. |
| Private pool rental | A group that wants control over guests and noise | Cleaning fees, minimum hours and house rules can raise the total. |
| City pool | People who mainly want to swim | It does not provide the hotel-deck experience. |
Book the smallest product that solves the actual problem. A $200 spa treatment is not a sensible substitute for a sold-out swim pass unless you wanted the treatment anyway.
Plan for weather and closures
An indoor pool is the safest choice when the swim matters more than sun. An indoor-outdoor pool gives you a water backup, but rain can still remove the deck experience you paid for. Outdoor pools may close for lightning, poor air quality, maintenance or a private event.
Read the cancellation terms before booking. Ask who cancels the pass if the pool closes, whether the credit returns to the booking platform or your card, and how late you can change the date. Take a screenshot of the product description and included facilities.
Pack a swimsuit, sandals, sunscreen, photo identification and the booking confirmation. Confirm towels, lockers and changing rooms instead of assuming. Hotels and private hosts can restrict glass, outside food, speakers, decorations and re-entry.
If you are bringing children, ask for the current supervision rule and any restricted hours. If you want a quiet adult afternoon, ask about family access and scheduled events rather than trusting a polished pool photo.

Ask these questions while the booking page is open:
- Is this non-hotel-guest admission, a hotel-guest add-on, a day room or a spa package?
- Does the price include a lounger, or only entry? Is the chair reserved?
- Is the total in Canadian dollars, and what taxes or fees remain?
- Which pool is open on your date? Is the outdoor part heated and operating?
- Are children admitted? Is there a party, DJ or group booking that day?
- Are towels, lockers, showers and changing rooms included? Can you leave and return?
- Is there food service during your visit? Is a food credit included or a minimum spend required?
- Can you cancel for rain? What if the hotel closes the pool?
For access needs, ask about the route from the entrance to the changing room, deck and water. An accessible hotel room doesn't prove the pool has a working lift or step-free water entry. Our accessible Toronto activities guide gives you more options for the rest of the day.
ResortPass, DayPass and Dayuse are different booking services. Read the exact product instead of assuming their names mean the same thing. A friend with a condo pool is another option only when their building permits guests and the resident follows its booking rules.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best hotel pool day pass in downtown Toronto?
Sheraton Centre is our first place to check because its direct site clearly offers non-guest access to an indoor-outdoor pool. Compare Hilton's available dates and Canadian-dollar total before deciding. Neither option guarantees a quiet or child-free day.
Can I use a Toronto hotel pool without staying overnight?
Yes, when the hotel sells a day pass or a package that explicitly includes it. A spa appointment, restaurant reservation or drink purchase doesn't automatically grant pool access. Keep the confirmation with the included facilities listed.
Which option is best if I don't want children around?
A private rental with your own adult group gives you the most control. Ask the host who else can access the space. Hotel adult-only hours must match your pass, and an adult lifestyle club is a separate kind of outing.
Is Radisson Blu's pool still taking day-pass bookings?
Its OpenTable page showed seasonal closure when checked on September 15, 2026. Check for a reopened calendar or ask the hotel before travelling. Old food-credit and industry-discount reports aren't confirmed current offers.
Are Toronto hotel pool day passes worth the money?
They make sense when the hotel setting, towels, changing facilities and location solve a problem for you. If you only want a swim, a City leisure session is much better value. A spa package is poor value if you don't want its treatment.
What should I book if the weather looks bad?
Choose access to an operating indoor pool, then read the cancellation terms. An indoor-outdoor pool gives you a swimming backup, but it can't deliver a sunny deck in the rain. Keep a rainy-day Toronto plan ready if sunshine was the main attraction.
Can I get a day room and pool access together?
Some Dayuse listings explicitly bundle them, including Don Valley Hotel. Compare the room's allowed hours with the pool's opening times and guest limit. It is worth the extra cost only if you'll actually use the room.
For a simple pool day, check Sheraton and Hilton first. For a private afternoon, split a suitable rental with friends. Save Radisson for a confirmed open season and Hotel X for a day when you want the spa treatment too.
